So far away the echoes of her voice traveled dim,
hearing her near the familiar voice woke him,
strange sounds of memories float in the room,
as if the echoes were in his own sealed grave tomb,
they faded like darkness when the light shined on,
senses came as the sound was now gone,
back of the head thumps the pillow hard,
as the thought of that moment is difficult to discard,
another voice screams out into his awake mind,
peeling off the bedsheets for his keys to find,
senses enter his mind as more evidence needs to be clear,
as he listens for the voice again to come loud and clear,
a doubt over his head as he picks up the empty can,
why would he hear this thinking he is an insane man,
head thumps the pillow once again to enter sleep,
as dreams and softness sink him soothing deep,
the voice so loud this time he jumps from the surprise,
cracking his sleepy eyelids as he opens wide his eyes,
leaping with the springs of his mattress on his feet,
running to the door and tripping over a seat,
jumping up again as the voice then speaks,
unable to understand as now it is just squeaks,
thumping his mat with a jump after he prepares,
landing and looking around as he now frozen stares,
finding she is dead after being strangled lawn,
been there a while as the sun rises at dawn,
the echoes of sanity give him the moment of true,
as he looks at blood soaked hands realizing the killer is you.
