False Message

Entering the castle keep,
while the guards wait almost asleep,
approaching ahead the royal throne,
he left with many but now is alone,
the king awaited his return,
now having news of concern,
a message of the kings son being killed,
by a knight being better skilled,
cut through other men then more,
killing them all in blood and gore,
getting to the prince at the end,
but letting this one man live with a message to send,
to bring a message to the kings worth,
stay off the Eastern lands turf,
but the king does not take this message light,
bringing his men to prepare to fight,
revenge in his heart as the loss of his son,
how could such a knight have won,
as the king steps forth ready to leave,
the messenger rolls up his sleeve,
not being a servant but an assassin in disguise,
killing the king because he was not so wise.
