Tattered Remains

Painted art of black down the eye,
A symbolic meaning to always cry,
heart of red blood drops from the chest,
birds gather sticks to be placed in a nest,
around the thigh a spinning snake on skin,
artistic mood of this deeply hidden within,
letters spell a word on fingers punched,
with wings on the back spread when hunched,
colours mixed and shades fading too,
soon they become the only memories of you,
curdled inks bubbled to rust,
underneath it all in you i mostly trust.
