Meaning of Life

faces smile in the memories of the mind,
as the times before leaving them behind,
regrets and unforgiven moments fade to shadows of the past,
as nothing matters anymore as though from beginning to last,
the flames then burn all that was left when they were whole,
as the better place to go is where they set the soul,
some place above with others that might be known,
believe in this existence but never have the proof shown,
still there is a reason to believe in this way they give,
just the fact we exist at all and the lessons in life we live.
