Depth of Field

long ago he played football on the field,
he originally designed the emblem on the shield,
bringing the score up for the school to win,
his photo was framed after his happy grin,
old and grey hair just like the photo in the case,
a memory he never wants to erase,
his grandson now goes to the same school,
as he made a request of the grandson so cool,
wishing upon his death to be buried underneath,
as no proper funeral or just a simple wreath,
knowing the things he does to prank his teachers and friends,
being his only wish at the time his life ends.
