To not lose another he cares about, he jumps from the wall flipping to the ground,
The princess in surprise to see Nin land next to her, the guards alert with a loud whistling sound,
“Put the fire out!” he says holding his tail to the princess’s throat threatening to cut,
Moving out for all to see, as the other guards turn, making Nin feel a tightness in his gut,
The guards throw water on the flames, putting out the fire as it slowly grew,
Leyra smiles looking down at Nin making his way through,
As the crowd of people parts, Stoxdar looks around for a guard to attempt being brave,
“Untie her and let her down.” Nin demands, as his only intention is her to save,
“No!” Nexen says from behind Leyra, holding his sword ready to fight,
Knowing Nin will not harm people, from learning about him the previous night,
Nin quickly knocks the princess into the guards and jumps towards the stake to grab and rip,
The guard shoot their arrows, stabbing in his back, he pulls the stake out with his grip,
He blows his flames towards the archers making them dive, ducking for cover,
Nin bares the pain of arrows in him to save the woman he wants to be his lover,
Snapping the binds that hold her to the stake, letting her fall on the back of his wing,
He gallops through the crowd of people, pushing his way using his tail to swing,
The gate closes ahead as Leyra crawls from his wing to his back,
The archers aim when Nin takes flight, with Leyra casting a spell of fire to attack,
Setting fire to the wooden gate, and causing the archers to run from the place,
They glide over the wall, as Nin cannot hold back the pain in his face,
He floats across the bridges gliding slowly as the arrows hurt so much deeply stabbed,
Landing in a clearing in the forest, Nin lays down flat, then tensions when an arrow is grabbed,
Pulling out the arrow, he flinches containing a scream from the cut skin bleeding flame,
She pulls out the rest, all healing slowly and closing wounds the same,
He sleeps in the dirt as muscles hurt, she leans against him as the night is cold,
In this forest near the canyon south, the thick scrub of trees a giant wall so old.
